Welcome to the Demo-Shop

This is a sample application, which was designed to demonstrate the various options of this shop-system to you. Please feel free to try the shop yourself immediately.

In this sample application you will see a shop which offers screws, nuts, and similar items through the net. This kind of items was chosen because they are known by everybody.

There are less than a dozend objects for sale in this demo-shop, but that will be enough to demonstrate the basic functions of the shop-system.

Please also generate an order. Because this shop is for demonstration purposes only you will not have to pay for the ordered items. On the other hand you will not receive the ordered items.
 
Highlights of the Shop:
  • You can enter up to 4.2 Billions items into the shop-system (if your database and your harddisc can hold that much).
  • The items can be grouped hierarchically up to 128 steps in depth (if you customers will understand that).
  • A specific item can be searched either by a text-search using the item's name or short description or by following the hierarchy of the items.
  • The items can be attached to any group you like. It is possible to attach an item to a unlimited number of different item-groups. A cheap brass screw can be attached to the group “Screws” and to the group “Brassware” and to the group “Special Offers” as well.
  • You can run the shop in as many different languages as you like (while this demo-shop just holds the languages German and English).
  • The user can change his preferred language at any time by a simple mouse-click. Doing so will not change just the texts and headers of the shop but also the product description, the background-picture all pictures that belong to the shop itself (just the pictures of the items will not be changed).
  • The appearance of the shop to the user is parameter-driven: You can change the colours, headers, installed languages, item-groups and item-hierarchie within a few minutes. There will not be the need to do a costly adaption of the shop to your wishes.
  • The texts and headers of the shop itself can also be changed without reprogramming. If you should wish to change the text of the search-button from “Search” to “Start now” then this can be accomplished within 30 seconds without the costly help of a programmer.
